Two Sisters. One Passion for Food.

Soozveen translates to “the promise of love” in Kurdish, our native language. We are two sisters sharing our family meals, created with love. Handed down through stories, women in our family have used these recipes for generations. With spices from Northern Iraq, you will be able to taste the love.

The recipes we cook are family recipes. They were learned in a home kitchen, next to our mother and aunts, and they are still made the same way: by hand, in small batches, with the time each dish needs.

In Kurdish homes, hospitality is not a formality. When people come over, you cook. You cook more than enough, you arrange it carefully, and you keep offering. That habit is the reason SoozVeen Catering exists. Friends kept asking us to cook for their gatherings, and eventually we decided to do it properly.

Seattle became home, and cooking became the way we stayed connected to where we come from and the way we got to know the people around us. Rolling dolma for a wedding, filling trays of tikka for an office lunch, arranging kunafa for a birthday: it is the same food we would make for our own family.

Today we cater gatherings of many sizes across the Seattle area, and we still answer every inquiry ourselves.
